Why isn’t the unit working?

Check that the power cord is plugged in and power source is working properly. Turn the speed dial clockwise to either 1 or 2 to begin juicing.  Check to make sure all parts are assembled properly and the safety lock is properly engaged. The unit has an overheating protection feature that automatically turns the motor off when over used to avoid overheating. The blue LED operational light around the dial will blink for 15 minutes or until the motor cools down to let you know you can resume juicing.

What kinds of fruits and vegetables can I juice in the Enerjuicer?

You can juice any kind of fruits and vegetables except avocados, bananas, coconuts and wheatgrass.

Which leafy green vegetables can I juice with the Enerjuicer?

The Enerjuicer is a centrifugal juicer (uses fast spinning blades to extract juice) and can juice most green leafy vegetables; however, it will not juice wheatgrass. If you are considering juicing wheatgrass or even making almond milk, please consider purchasing a masticating juicer such as the  Fagor Slow Juicer Platino. A slow juicer uses an auger to crush  fruits or vegetables, is much more efficient  and gives you more juice in your glass with a unique 2-step process that processing green leafy vegetables such as wheatgrass, spinach, parsley, cilantro, kale, swiss chard, etc.

Should I peel the fruits and vegetables before juicing them?

It isn’t necessary to peel most fruits or vegetables before juicing, however we recommend that you always wash fruits and vegetables before use. Other fruits pineapples, melons, mangos, papayas, citrus and any fruit with skin cannot be juiced with its own skin and should be peeled prior to juicing. 

Should I remove the pits before juicing?

Always remove all pits and hard seeds from fruit before juicing to avoid causing damage to the unit. Pitted fruit such as, peaches, cherries, mangos, plums and nectarines should be pitted prior to juicing. Grapes are not a problem, wash thoroughly before juicing.

Can I put ice or frozen foods in the Enerjuicer?

No, ice or frozen fruits or vegetables cannot be processed into the Enerjuicer as it will damage the filter and the motor.

Can I make Smoothies in the Enerjuicer?

No, the Enerjuicer is unable to create Smoothies. You can however use the fresh juice from the Enerjuicer and place it into a Blender with other ingredients for a Smoothie.

Can I add liquids to the Enerjuicer?

No. Water or any other liquids should never be added to the Enerjuicer as it will cause the unit to overflow and leak out of the sides of the juicer. If additional liquid is needed to your drink, please add separately in a glass, pitcher or blender.

Can I wash the Enerjuicer in a dishwasher?

You can wash the following Enerjuicer elements in the top rack of the dishwasher: The Juicer Cover, Bowl, Pulp Collector, Juice Collector and Food Pusher.

How often do I clean the Enerjuicer?

We recommend you clean your juicer immediately after each use to help reduce the stains on the juicer bowl and its upper parts. 

How do I clean the stains on the plastic units of the Enerjuicer?

When juicing certain fruits and vegetables, you may encounter stains on the juicer that might be tougher to remove than others. Always clean the unit immediately after every use and we suggest you to use ONE of the following cleaning procedures:

  • 1. Soak in mild soapy water
  • 2. Equal parts warm water to cider vinegar
  • 3. Soak in ½ cup baking soda, and warm water.

Never use strong household cleaners, ammonia or abrasives.

How do I use the Cleaning Brush?

To ensure your juicer continuously to performs at its peak, you will need to thoroughly and frequently cleanse the Stainless Steel Filter Basket with the enclosed Cleaning Brush. Simply hold the Filter Basket under running water and brush from the inside of the basket to outer rim. After cleaning the Filter Basket, hold it up toward a light to ensure the fine mesh holes are not blocked.
